Special features regarding teachingBachelor's in Business: broad specialist basis for professional activities; organisation: full-time and career-integrated; 4 branches of study for specific business know-how: "Business Management", "Public Management", "Digital Business Management" and "Hotel Management"; cornerstones: mandatory work placement and a diverse range of languages; focus from the 4th semester on "Marketing", "Controlling & Finance", "Logistics & Manufacturing." The International Business Management course places great emphasis on the practical communication of teaching content. To this end, numerous innovative didactic concepts have been developed, which have been awarded several national and international prizes. This includes, for example, the "24 Hour Challenge", a project-based form of study, etc.
Special features regarding the international orientationThe Business programme places particular emphasis on the internationalisation of students, research projects and teachers. There is an opportunity for an international exchange programme, which is part of the curriculum (4th semester). Particularly underprivileged students who wish to complete a semester abroad can apply for a programme scholarship. The International Business Management course is taught in English and is thus internationally oriented. The Public Management course, in particular, cooperates with administration universities in Germany and Switzerland (student exchange). In addition, a large number of European research projects have been completed with international partners.

Special features regarding research and developmentResearch focus areas: Public Sector, Entrepreneurship and International Business Activity, Regional Economy and Tourism, Sustainable Development and Technologies, European Integration and Cross-Border Cooperation, Innovation/Knowledge Transfer and Education Management. Current key areas of the course are qualitative growth, export management and digitalisation. Administrative modernisation, quality management in public administration, e-government, migration and integration, process optimisation in public administration, operating licence procedures for optimisation. Involvement of students in a research group for the organisational integration of business development in corporate practice.

Characteristics of assistance to differently abled personsLong-term impaired students can make special arrangements with the course director to sit for exams under specially adapted exam regulations. Great emphasis is placed on inclusivity.
