    First-class lecturers from the fields of business and science from home and abroad, the pronounced practical relevance (e.g. practical projects, case studies) and the limited number of study places guarantee excellent study conditions. The ongoing quality assurance and improvement of teaching (feedback sessions with students, online evaluation at the end of each semester, meetings with assistant professors) is of central importance. Scientific foundation, international orientation of the course content.

    International mobility phases (semester abroad, work placements abroad, short programmes abroad, opportunity to complete a double degree); 276 partner universities; MCI students from 55 nations; support from International Relations Office in the preparation and completion (information events, clarification of compatibility, etc.); participation in (inter)national education programmes, university networks and scholarship programmes; ECTS and Diploma Supplement Label; certified second university in Austria accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

    All seminar and IT rooms have high-quality equipment, which can be added if necessary. Many student workstations offer ideal learning conditions. There are reference libraries with specialist literature as well as PCs, copiers, printers and scanners. Access to selected scientific databases (EBSCO, Emerald, MarketLine, ScienceDirect, Springer, Statista, RDB, WISO) is possible via all PCs and WiFi eduroam® as well as via remote access (via Shibboleth). All MCI members also have free access to the University and Provincial Library of Tyrol (ULB).

    Research & development activities are business-oriented, application & solution-oriented. Regular publications, conference contributions & more Research projects are the basis for sustainable skills development & knowledge / technology transfer in teaching and entrepreneurial practice. Content specialisation: Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Marketing / Digital Transformation / Innovation in Social & Health Care / Tourism / Ethics, Law & Information Society / Family Business. Research specialisations build on core competencies of MCI, industrial & scientific needs, as well as regional / national / international funding priorities .

    The MCI attaches great importance to promoting Start-ups and entrepreneurship activities by faculty and students: A service unit provides initial information on business Start-ups, entrepreneurship and commercial use of R&D results. In addition, the MCI maintains a Start-up centre for faculty, students and graduates with innovative business ideas in the form of CAST GmbH CAST GmbH is an initiative of the University of Innsbruck, the Medical University of Innsbruck, the business promotion agency of Tyrol and MCI, which is supported by the federal government.
