Special features regarding teachingSubject-related orientation of the department has several key areas. This is mainly the result of the different subject areas of the two institutes for Natural Sciences and Measurement and Sensor Engineering. One special feature of the Institute of Measurement and Sensor Engineering is its coverage of a broad and high-quality range in teaching and research, e.g. in the fields of Optics and Optoelectronics, Lighting Engineering, Materials and Technology, Microtechnology, High Frequency Engineering, Power Electronics, etc. The focus is on industrial applications of the subject-specific topics.
-
Special features regarding the international orientationInternational training is very important at the HRW. It is our aim that as many HRW students as possible have the opportunity to spend part of their studies abroad. This can, for example, be a semester abroad or work placement. We attach great importance to the quality of our partner institutions. The STEP.INternational programme offers a particular incentive to acquire international skills. The students can obtain a certificate which attests to special international commitment.
