  • Special features regarding teaching
    Practical relevance: pre-study work placement and practical semester; at least one practical project; Subject-specific work placements on courses; Guest lectures by company representatives; Excursions; optional: Dual (work-study) programme with 15 cooperation partners, around 35% of students are dual students; choice of areas of specialisation.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    The THI cooperates with 120 international partner universities on all continents. The university offers some scholarships for semesters and work placements abroad. Mobility windows in the curriculum are identified individually with the assistance of the course coordinator. The recognition of academic achievements abroad is guaranteed before the start of the semester abroad.

    The technical equipment used for almost all courses is state-of-the-art, for example, comprehensive PC lab equipment and application software already used widely in the field.

  • Support for founders
    As a strategic measure, the THI has set up a Centre of Entrepreneurship that is to spread the idea of entrepreneurship across all programmes. For now, it offers compulsory electives, but in future it will also provide compulsory subjects. The “Digital Incubator Centre Ingolstadt” is currently being developed right next to the THI campus. In future it will cooperate closely with the THI.
