  • Special features regarding teaching
    The range of career-integrated courses is aimed at a combination of study and accompanying practical work or implementation in companies. The guidance on business thinking and behaviour is a key part of this alongside the specialist training. Legal, business and personal development subjects are also anchored in the course of study. We use regular quality assurance and quality development to create high-quality training programmes in line with the needs of industry.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    The international involvement applies both for teaching and for R&D. Special features include a Master's programme in English only, sufficient English language courses for incoming students, language study travels, the integration of international guest lecturers in courses and financial support for students with respect to these measures. Various Erasmus agreements and, on this basis, selective cooperation with selected universities also allow for international networking in research and development.

    The technical equipment of the department meets all modern, practical requirements in the disciplines of International Marketing & Sales Management: MAXQDAplus 11, SAP GUI for Windows 7.30, SPSS v22 FixPack 2, Value Map software, Moodle, Adobe Design Standard CS, Mindjet MindManager.

    Applied research and development with regard to economic implementation in regional enterprises (mostly in the region); working on key areas with a high relevance to practice; know-how transfer in particular to the benefit of innovative enterprises.

    The FH CAMPUS 02 operates an innolab, in cooperation with the regional Chamber of Commerce, whose main task is the support of innovators willing to start up businesses. The Chamber of Commerce as the main owner of the university of applied sciences offers a wealth of assistance on the legal and economic aspects of company start-ups Scientific work as part of the course of study can also serve as preparation for one's own company start-up.
  • Characteristics of assistance to differently abled persons
    Students with health problems who submit the relevant medical certificates are given adequate support according to their medical requirements, for example in the following areas: Contacting a programme-external person and notification of needs, the preparation of teaching materials and literature (e.g. large print), technical assistance for hearing and visually impaired people. Time extensions for written assignments, possibility of substituting oral for written exams, consideration of dyslexia in assessing formal criteria of written assignments.
  • Characteristics of diversity advancement
    Active member of the Integration Partnership Styria; responsible for Gender Mainstreaming & Diversity Management; use of gender sensitive language in all internal and external documents; regular workshops for teachers for competence building in gender mainstreaming and diversity; courses on cross-cultural competence.
