Special features regarding teachingFocusing of Business Administration on digital transformation and data-based management and decision-making processes. In teaching, great emphasis is placed on practical orientation. These involve simulation games and case studies. Students get to work on several projects at companies. Through the extensive research work, future-oriented topics are always brought into teaching. The teaching is supported by an eLearning platform on which documents are provided centrally and discussion forums etc. can be set up.

Special features regarding the international orientationStudents are offered the option of taking a semester abroad. Intercultural negotiation training, corporate projects are sometimes carried out with international partner institutions. Classes on negotiation techniques are taught in English. In general, a number of courses are held in English. A dedicated international office supports incoming and outgoing students in their international activities. There is also a teaching staff mobility programme.

Special features regarding the equipmentThe campus has modern equipment in all rooms incl. several computer rooms. SAP equipment; Business games; virtual reality / augmented reality; big data / advanced analytics lab, BI laboratory can be used. There are also lounges with state-of-the-art technical equipment. Students have numerous software packages with process and data references (e.g. ERP, SAS, Adonis, Aris, Microsoft Visio, Power-BI, Tagetik, SPSS etc.) available for their work. The library is connected to a large number of online libraries, in addition to its physical inventory.

Special features regarding research and developmentIntensive occupation with business intelligence and machine learning applications characterize the research focus of the course; third-party funds are raised by companies or institutions. Publications in international peer-reviewed journals; transfer of research results into new products or services; as part of the practical projects, parts of research projects are solved independently by students in close coordination with the teachers.

Support for foundersStudents have access to the FH OÖ's own incubator for company start-ups. This provides comprehensive support on everything from technology to financing with respect to company start-ups. This subject is specifically addressed in the classroom. Extensive networking with companies, both large companies and Start-ups from the region. Participation of the speakers at incubator "tech2b" with company Start-up program. The creation of business plans is practised.

Other special featuresAs a student in the "Process Management and Business Intelligence" course, you can acquire additional qualifications: certifications in Project Management, Quality Management and Process Management (Six Sigma Green Belt Light). Close contact between students and lecturers, short walking distances across campus and an open-door policy are all important to us.
