    The "Hohenheim model" is the central element of teaching. Building on a solid economic basis, the faculty's characteristically broad range of subjects enables scientifically sound inter-disciplinary and practice-related professional training and a variety of specialisation options for the support of individual interests. It also allows individual specialist knowledge to be applied in macroeconomic and social contexts.

    The department has set itself the goal of increased internationalisation. The department's International Office provides advice on stays abroad, matters of credit recognition and dual-degree programmes. There is also an annual Summer School with further opportunities for international exchange. Not least, thematic networks with corresponding support options are there to assist potential participants.

    A test room is available for organisational psychology studies, which involve investigating the effects of different lighting conditions and environmental conditions within the given space on performance and well-being, using simulated work situations. This enables conclusions to be drawn regarding the psychological resources of the individual in the workplace (e.g. motivation, ability to perform and relaxation) as well as psychological resources in team work and management situations. There is also a market research laboratory.
