    Economics in Passau is particularly strong in research. Publications in A+ and A- journals and frequency of citation are of a particularly high level. This sound research level is integrated into the Master's courses. As a result, an especially large number of Master IEB graduates move on to doctoral studies. The link to practice is influential thanks to the empirical approach of research and teaching.

    Founders' Café: Goal: Start-up interests, investors and start-up experts meet regularly; forum for questions about your own start-ups; promotion of start-up of the transfer centre; events for students and young researchers (5-euro business competition, Gründerwoche Deutschland, Gründerwerkstatt); Wilhelminian era: Students who want to establish their own business while studying can take a leave of absence for 2 semesters if supervised by the transfer centre.
