Special features regarding teachingA special feature of both the "Frankfurt Bachelor's degree in Economics" is the close integration of Business Administration and Economics. The Economics Bachelor's course prepares students for various fields of activity in the national and international environment. Both offer well-grounded, high-quality and academic initial training and form an important foundation for a successful career entry or continuing studies in one of the Frankfurt Master's degree courses.
Special features regarding the international orientationInternationality in research and teaching is a key criterion of quality for the department. This promotes a lively international exchange of scientists and students through an international network of over 100 partner universities. Language skills can be acquired thanks to a wide range of business language courses in English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese.

Support for foundersThe Unibator of the Goethe University supports students, staff and alumni in the conversion of scientific findings and resulting business ideas into marketable products and services. It provides a start-up programme for founders with the aim of developing a sound business model. The Unibator, together with the research-intensive department of Economic Sciences, has set up a focus on FinTech. Moreover, there are also student initiatives that deal with the promotion of start-ups, such as the Founders' Club Frankfurt and Enactus.
Characteristics of assistance to differently abled personsBeyond the university-wide support measures, the department designs study conditions that take account of special circumstances students may find themselves, such as through equalisation of disadvantages measures (exam time extensions / alternative methods of examination). This way, the nature and severity of disabilities or chronic illness and stress due to pregnancy or child-raising or caring for dependent close relatives are taken into consideration in courses and exams.
Characteristics of diversity advancement"Equality and diversity" is firmly established at the top level with the equal opportunities office. All organisational units cooperate in close coordination on gender, family and diversity-appropriate structures and processes at the entire university. At the level of the department and its equality council, a variety of measures and initiatives can be identified that focus on equality among sexes, family and other diversity aspects.
