  • Special features regarding teaching
Based on learning goals and skills, the degree course takes a problem-oriented approach across ten semesters (no separation of pre-clinical and clinical phase and no separation by subject). This interdisciplinary structure aligns with organs and organ systems and stages of life. Another characteristic feature is the introduction of a larger practice part at the beginning of the course. The practice day comprises 14 days of work shadowing with independent doctors and gives students the opportunity to observe and practice medical skills.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    Currently in the start-up phase.
  • Other special features
The MHB is a state-recognised university under municipal and non-profit sponsorship and responsibility. The university currently has two campus locations in Neuruppin and Brandenburg an der Havel. At the same time, the spatial and organisational proximity to the carrier hospitals must be emphasised. Together with the carrier hospitals, the MHB has partnerships with 21 clinics nationwide and around 100 teaching practices, which already from the second semester onwards are of great relevance for the early practical training of the students.
