    Some courses are video recorded; One-year energy projects in our own workshops (student, research or company-related); Revision classes as part of the optional advanced course; Many teaching staff from the Energy Research Centre of the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences; Approx. 50% external teaching staff; Many opportunities for specialisation and a wide range of optional courses; Very good IT equipment Laboratories, computer rooms, library, study rooms; All laboratories can also be used by students outside formal study.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    The Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences is part of an international network and cooperates with a large number of partner universities worldwide. A separate International Office deals with international matters. The Energy Technology and Energy Management degree course includes coordinated options for one or two semesters abroad at the University of Agder, Faculty of Engineering and Science in Grimstad. The Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences has signed a doctoral agreement with the University of Agder, which means that PhD students from the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences are supervised by Agder and can spend some of their time as PhD students in Agder.

    Vorarlberg is a flagship region for energy issues. The Energy Research Centre of the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences is a central point of contact for energy research in Vorarlberg. It is divided into the following two research groups: - Material and energy technologies, - energy systems and components. Almost all research staff members teach in the course and supervise projects and Master's theses. Some students work as student assistants or research assistants. One graduate is doing his doctorate at the Energy Research Centre.

    Practice-oriented teaching in small groups; Large range of possible specialisations from all other technical Master's degrees; An early application deadline in March in addition to the main deadline in May; Students have free 24/7 access to the technical laboratories; Vorarlberg is one of the strongest economic regions in Europe. The regional economy has a wide range of industries offering exciting opportunities for practice-oriented projects, vocational internships and many job opportunities.
