Special features regarding research and developmentThe Faculty of Technology in Wels is the largest and strongest research faculty of the FH Oberösterreich: approx. 180 current projects, approx. 10M€ acquired R&D funds per year and approx. 250 R&D employees. Major projects, e.g: Josef-Ressel-Zentrum for innovative multi-body dynamics, Josef-Ressel-Zentrum für thermographic non-destructive testing, K-Zentrum für Feed and Food, Quality, Safety and Innovation, various Interreg projects together with research institutions from Germany and the Czech Republic, and many more; EUR 7,182.30 in third-party funding/year

Other special featuresCampus in the city centre and close to the railway station; due to the small size, direct contact to the professors with intensive project support; high proportion of practical work in all study courses; fixed practice and laboratory places, extensive tutorials in elective subjects (e.g. languages); possibility to acquire external certificates in the areas of quality and environmental management (TÜV-Süd), value analysis (VDI).
