Due to the interdisciplinary orientation of the department and a social development characterised by changes, families are placed in the focus of an understanding of a manufacturing and design process of the "doing family". Using the interdisciplinary view of the curriculum vitae, students learn social work and psychological-pedagogical concepts, theoretical foundations and cross-disciplinary skills that enable them to provide and implement tailored help and resource-oriented offers for the addressees.

Integration in the international scientific context in the following areas: Inclusion, early help, mentoring, health services research.
