Further information provided by the department

  • Special features regarding teaching
A special feature is on the one hand the targeted orientation of the (economic) psychological content on the practice - for example, diagnostics in particular convey the diagnostic procedures in an economic context (including test procedures for identifying professional suitability, multi-modal interview or assessment centre). In addition, in the most important basic and application subjects, the course content is developed and implemented using a practical example. The professional experience of the teachers is used to a particular extent here.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
The general orientation of the university is international. Students can attend a semester abroad or international summer / winter schools; in the Master's degree, a cross-location and cross-course leadership seminar in English strengthens the international focus not only in terms of language, but also in terms of different countries and cultures of origin.
  • Special features regarding the equipment
For an education that is up to date, the necessary products are provided in consultation with the lecturers in Business Psychology. Current statistics software is explained in lectures in the PC pool, used and clarified in its practical relevance. The students have the opportunity to deepen their skills in dealing with subject-specific databases, tests used in practice and statistical software through project work.
  • Special features regarding research and development
Research on current topics in the interaction of digitalisation and personnel management. Research projects are often carried out in cooperation with companies in the region. The involvement of students in research projects is an explicit goal in all research projects. Implementation of research results in concrete measures that can be used in companies. Promotion of student research activities through mediation in corporate projects, for example for Bachelor and Master theses. Encouragement for students to publish their results.
  • Support for founders
Training entrepreneurial thinking people is part of our university's mission. Students willing to found a company are supported by personal coaching. The university offers the opportunity to gain initial experience in student initiatives.
