  • Special features regarding teaching
    The course integrates relevant, basic psychological fundamental knowledge with regard to psychological theories, as well as qualitative and quantitative method training. From the second semester onwards, the knowledge acquired is used and trained independently in projects. Through constant feedback from lecturers and fellow students, the participants in the course continuously improve, so that they often receive job offers after their internships.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    It is possible to replace one of the two practical semesters with a semester abroad at one of the numerous partner universities (e.g. Switzerland, Thailand, Norway and many more). Depending on the university, competencies in complementary psychological subjects can also be acquired. The English skills already integrated in the course can be deepened here.
  • Exchange universities for stay abroads
    FHNW, Olten, Schweiz; Mahidol University International College, Bangkok, Thailand; Business Academy South West, Esbjerg, Dänemark; Kodolányi János University of Applied Sciences, Budapest, Ungarn; Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, Kanada.
  • Special features regarding the equipment
    Online access to the Hogrefe test system 5 with the possibility of performing psychological tests; Testotheque with the "paper version" of various tests; access to literature databases, including psyndex and psychinfo; software for data analysis (eg SPSS, MaxQda); software for experimental control (e.g. Equip, E-Prime, Inquisit).
  • Special features regarding research and development
    Students are involved in ongoing research projects as part of method projects and project management. Students are entrusted with responsibility right from the start and involved in various stages of the research process. This enables them to learn how to independently evaluate new training courses early on , develop concepts, apply theoretical basic knowledge and prepare and implement research designs.
  • Support for founders
    Business start-ups aimed at by students are supported by lecturer talks and given advice later on. They are often available as "curators".
  • Other special features
    At the Harz University of Applied Sciences, the family atmosphere enables students to receive individual support in their interests. It often happens that contacts are maintained and the rest of the career is accompanied by the lecturers, be it in the context of doctorates, company foundations, or simply alumni lectures with the opportunity to compare the taught content with practical requirements.
