  • Special features regarding teaching
    The career-integrated course imparts theory-based action knowledge combined with practice-oriented methodological skills and research science skills. For this purpose, events of Social Work are analysed by means of various scientific disciplines such as Pedagogy, Sociology, Law, Ethics, Migration Research, Social Management or Psychology and the appropriate methodological tools for their processing are taught. This also includes understanding social condition factors and their effects, social problems and social change.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    The International Office will assist you in all administrative aspects of your student exchange; the international departmental coordinators of each degree programme are responsible for all academic issues, especially course selection. Within the menu item International Office you will find all staff members responsible for international relations who will answer any requests you might have.

  • Special features regarding research and development
    In the courses Social Work (Bachelor) and Social Innovation (Master) as well as in the Research Group Innovation and Society, we analyse the causes and consequences of social transformation processes. We identify social challenges and initiate, support and evaluate innovative approaches to tackle them. While the research and transfer activities in the Bachelor's degree in Social Work primarily focus on adequate intervention in specific problem areas, the structural causes are at the center of the Master's degree in Social Innovation.
