Special features regarding teachingFor the first time in Austria, Clinical Assessment has been integrated into the curriculum of a Bachelor's degree course. In the subject "Transdisciplinary Case Work", cases are worked on together with students and lecturers from the social work degree courses. Students deal with and reflect on gender and diversity aspects in nursing in the subject "Diversity in Nursing". Business games teach students how to act in complex and rapidly changing systems and how to draw conclusions for their actions.
Special features regarding the equipmentRelevant databases for literature research; nursing laboratory for the subjects "Nursing Assessment 1-4" and "Integrated Nursing Assessment".
Special features regarding research and developmentIn addition to the research projects of the research centres, there are further focal points in the further training of health and nursing care in Vorarlberg. According to the GuKG (§17), setting- and target group-specific specialisations include care for children and adolescents, psychiatric health care and nursing, intensive care, anaesthesia care and other specialisations. The exercise of executive functions is obligatory by law and professional law as a specialisation via a university or university of applied sciences degree course and starts for the first time on 1.2.2021.
