Special features regarding teachingInternational orientation due to 70% international students and teachers; Integration of examples from other countries and cultures in teaching; Interdisciplinary group work with Interior Architecture, Product Design and Graphic Design; Excursions, projects and exercises are an integrative part of teaching; Research focuses: Design and architecture, technical, representational and general science basic subjects as well as urban development and local and regional planning, focus on facility engineering; Understanding of architects as generalists
Special features regarding the international orientationThe programme’s focus is very international. There are contacts and collaborations for internships and Erasmus stays.
Special features regarding the equipmentMac Lab with software licences (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Lightroom, Experience Design (Beta), among others); 3 well-equipped workshops for the construction of models with 3D printer and laser cutting machine; Machine rooms, screen printing room, digital workshop; Classrooms and studios are fitted with projectors, whiteboards, as well as WiFi and wired Internet access; Microphone and video conference facilities have been available in the studios and seminar rooms since winter semester 2020/21; There are two colour copying and printing machines for use by students
Special features regarding research and developmentBecause the degree course is still being set up, new research projects are only just being initiated. This involves experimenting with room concepts that are used for projects with real customers.
Support for foundersThere is a practical course in which contacts with the industry are established.
Other special featuresThis is the only fully English-language, internationally oriented study programme in architecture in Germany.
