  • Special features regarding teaching
    Latest trends in medical engineering: for example: process-controlled prostheses and implantable devices are connected thanks to the latest global developments in digitalisation. In addition to the classic content such as imaging diagnostics, medical devices and IT, attention is paid as well to matters that have recently become topical, such as app development, augmented reality, medical robotics, personalised medicine and regulatory issues. Courses in the field of Management & Business: economic issues specifically necessary for an independent career are addressed.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    Cooperation arrangements are currently being made with partner universities for the degree course in Medical Technologies.
  • Special features regarding the equipment
    With lab space of more than 1,500 m², the Department of Technology and Life Science has laboratories for chemistry, biology, process engineering and mechatronics with laboratories for medical technology and sports technology; Access to international cooperation databases of the MCI in the field of Economics, Management and Technology; Licenses for topic-specific software (Matlab, Autodesk Inventor, LaTeX).
