Special features regarding teachingOur architecture course focuses on design and planning. Knowledge acquired about typology, construction, historical development and social context is merged with illustration and design skills at an early stage and applied to solve planning problems. Design is developed and taught as a core skill in projects of an increasingly complex nature. Conceptual thinking, creativity, interdisciplinarity, consideration of sustainability and the inclusion of new academic fields are promoted through assigned sub-projects.
Special features regarding the international orientationGerman-French Double Diplom programme, wide range of Erasmus exchange options, networking of the teaching staff in the European higher education area.

Other special featuresThe faculty also offers the following: Counselling and introductory event for the transition into the more elective stage II studies phase; Courses for the acquisition of key skills (compulsory part of the curriculum); trial and preliminary examinations as well as mentor meetings for exam preparation; work placement exchange for voluntary and compulsory work placements; Guest lectures and wide ranging lecture series also open to the public.
