Special features regarding teachingThe overarching goal of the training, consistent with the generalist career profile, is to integrate all sub-areas of planning and design into a whole programme. With this aspect in mind, the Bachelor's and Master's degree courses are designed as consecutive, interrelated development steps. The Bachelor's degree course teaches basic principles while the Master's degree course is dedicated to advanced knowledge and individual specialisation. The very good ratio of Master's to Bachelor's degree places make access to the Master's degree course possible for all qualified Bachelor's degree graduates.
Special features regarding the international orientationEvery semester the department organises a lecture series to which international speakers are regularly invited. Internationally successful architects are also employed regularly as guest lecturers. Major excursions abroad that are very popular also take place every year. The students are also supported in making use of the degree course's contacts abroad and to also complete their practical semester in a foreign country, for example, in Turkey or Chile.
