Special features regarding teachingThe fac. Architecture, located centrally in Nuremberg, pursues a strategy of teaching and supervision in the drawing studio. The atmosphere in the faculty is one of openness, with a flat hierarchy, short distances, and the studios as well as the offices of the professors and staff are spatially integrated. The teaching is oriented around regional needs and international standards. The large pool of lecturers ensures proximity to practice. The faculty closely cooperates with other faculties, the city of Nuremberg, and with many other communities and with the Bavarian Chamber of Architects (ByAK).
Special features regarding the international orientationMobility windows are included in the schedule of studies which make a study visit abroad or an international work placement possible. Advice is provided in-house and individually during the stay abroad. There is a one-week excursion each semester, which is usually somewhere abroad. This is didactically integrated into the semester project. The international context ensures an intensive and instructive engagement with historical topics and current affairs. Per semester: Open lecture series with many international colleagues
