  • Special features regarding teaching
    In addition to the required career-specific knowledge, students also gain critical examination skills and an awareness of social responsibility. Every student has access to a workstation in a group area in the 1st to 4th semester; three-week introductory course in the Bachelor's degree (and information day for the Master's degree in Architecture and Town Planning); many subjects of the foundation studies in the 1st to 4th semester are taught in tutorials with groups of 15; very broad subject range in the electives for the Bachelor's and Master's degree course.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    Agreements with 101 partner universities for student exchange; numerous design/project assignments with international context, including excursions; certification of a period abroad in the 6-semester Bachelor's degree course [Bachelor +]; in the (now discontinued) 8-semester Bachelor's degree course, the period abroad is integrated into the curriculum.

    Workshops for model building: wood, plastic, metal, clay, plaster, concrete; analogue and digital; IT café: PC lab with over 100 workstations, in addition to the standard CAD programs also acoustics and virtual reality simulations; own specialist library in-house.
