  • Special features regarding teaching
    The Architecture degree course is taught in classes as an artistic discipline at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart (ABK – State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart). The foundation studies are interdisciplinary and are taken in the first two semesters with students from the degree course in Industrial Design. Following this, design classes offer different key areas of focus, with teaching giving equal importance to cultural, typological, technological and artistic design aspects. In addition, the Architecture students have access to all lectures and workshops across the academy.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    The Architecture teaching at the academy is organised in classes and enables the best working conditions and a trusting relationship between students and teaching staff. The opportunities afforded by the teaching staff, who have outstanding national and international links, can therefore be fully enjoyed. Our students and graduates are in demand and enjoy success all over the world in practice, teaching and research.

    Architecture study at the Stuttgarter Kunstakademie (Stuttgart Academy of Arts) is ingrained in the artistic environment. This feature makes the course of study at the academy unique and means that it stands out clearly from studies at other higher education institutions for architecture. Architecture is taught as an artistic discipline in small groups with excellent supervision; the focus is on design. Our graduates have the artistic, cultural and technical construction knowledge needed to master the diverse, constantly changing requirements for architects.
