  • Special features regarding teaching
    The teaching is characterised by a combination of compulsory courses, which ensure that the key fundamentals are in place, and optional courses, which allow specialisation according to certain skills and interests. Key skills are mostly taught in an integrative manner and the academic staff are trained accordingly. Interdisciplinary projects round off the programme. Further special features include a high level of elective modules taught in English as well as the option to complete the Master's course in Structural Engineering or Water and the Environment with career-integrated distance learning.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    As part of a study abroad programme, students can attend courses and write scientific papers at many partner universities. All relevant examinations taken abroad are fully recognised. There is also the possibility to integrate preparatory language courses into the degree course. The foreign study period and the practicals abroad are supported as part of various exchange programmes. In addition, the specialisation course offers a variety of English-language modules, which make the course internationally attractive.
