Special features regarding teachingThe degree courses in the department have always been characterised by a high proportion of activating forms of teaching and student mentoring programmes are an integral part of the curriculum. Project seminars, during which students work in groups on openly formulated problems, have been used in the department for 50 years. With the introductory project, such teaching forms are a fixed component of the initial study phase. After the reopening and new construction of various institute buildings, the department has approx. 1,000 m² of space for student study centres.
