    The "Students' Lab" course in the first semester enables the students to work directly on their own projects; It makes the transition from school to university easier (http://www.studentslab.de/). Before commencing studies, there are preparatory courses at the entry-level academy; The course is held in small groups with approx. 25 first semester students per group/year; Links with companies and institutes in the region; Campus weeks (summer school) for students and prospective students.
