Special features regarding the international orientationThe department offers a completely English-speaking BA in Information Engineering (almost every second student with foreign educational qualifications is in this degree course at the HAW), thus 10 incoming students per semester. This degree course makes, for example, interesting partnerships possible with the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and in the GlobalE3 network (only 3 other German higher education institutions: TUM, RWTH, HAW MUN). The department offers a joint degree course at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, 35% of subjects in the degree course in Electrical and Electronic Engineering are taught by professors from Hamburg.
