  • Special features regarding teaching
    Overall, graduates of the course should be familiar with the engineering and efficiency of current and future energy systems. They should be able to design components and systems and integrate them into an application field, The relevant skills for which are conveyed during teaching. This takes place in lectures, seminars, work placements, tutorials and excursions using appropriate combinations of teaching/learning and forms of examination as well as self-study phases led by the students themselves.
  • Special features regarding the international orientation
    International training is very important at the HRW. It is our aim that as many HRW students as possible have the opportunity to spend part of their studies abroad. This can, for example, be a semester abroad or work placement. We attach great importance to the quality of our partner institutions.
  • Special features regarding the equipment
    The HRW EnergyCampusLab completed at the beginning of 2014 provides the opportunity to experience, analyse and test out the innovative energy engineering used to supply energy to the building.
  • Special features regarding research and development
    The Institute of Energy Systems and Energy Management conducts research on various issues of alternative energy, sometimes with local reference to research activities in the context of Innovation City Bottrop.
