Special features regarding teachingThe inter-disciplinary skills of an Industrial Engineer are taught, business and technical issues are worked through in an integrative and consistent manner; theory, laboratory and project work as well as a work placement.
Special features regarding the equipmentLaboratories for: IT applications/PPS, factory planning/production planning and control, production measurement technology/quality assurance, production engineering, production preparation, CAD/CAM, Competence Centre for Internal Logistics.
Special features regarding research and developmentIndustrial projects and technology transfer, including inter-disciplinary junior researcher group "Regional Wood Fuel Logistics in North-East Brandenburg"; COST Action FP 0902 - Development and harmonisation of new operational research and assessment procedures for sustainable forest biomass supply; Public Energy Alternatives - Sustainable energy strategies as a chance for regional development; student participation in research: The topics of the final theses may be published. Companies currently need topics to be assigned in projects.

Support for foundersThe TH Wildau offers a start-up service for all departments. Advice on start-ups, workshops and coaching are available. Ideas and prototypes can be developed in a start-up workshop and ViNN lab.
