    The Faculty of Economics at FSU Jena is guarantees a broad basic training that qualifies students to enter a profession whilst also offering a theoretically demanding and in-depth education in the specialisation subjects of Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics and Economic Education. The various courses teach students to think in a responsible and inter-disciplinary way and to act within the relevant specialist context. Using the knowledge gained, students can analyse complex issues, interpret findings and work out solutions using an inter-disciplinary approach.

    The campus lies at the heart of the city, with a new cafeteria and a highly modern building for the study of Law and Economics. New lecture theatres and large seminar rooms, computer centres, library that is also open on weekends and late into the evenings, individual academic chairs are brought together under one roof. Modern presentation techniques are used in lectures, several lectures are transmitted live across the Internet and/or recorded. Three modern computer pools, experimental laboratory.
