Special features regarding teachingInternational orientation through compulsory semester abroad and optional semester abroad as part of the Bachelor's; Broad-based training (incl. technical aspects) for flexibility in the labour market; Sound scientific basis for lifelong learning; use of simulation games and company simulations; The professors' wide-ranging professional experience is complemented by numerous experienced practitioners acting as assistant professors; Own foreign language centre located directly within the Department; Close links with local industry (final theses, guest lectures, internships)
Special features regarding the international orientationThe degree of internationalisation is particularly pronounced at the Department of Economic Sciences. Across the university, it is this department that sends the most students on semesters abroad. The Bachelor's in International Management requires a work placement abroad. The programme Tricontinental Master in Global Studies incorporates two compulsory semesters abroad (one in Taiwan, and one in Mexico). Two dual-degree programmes are currently being developed. English-taught courses are offered across the department. Other languages may be compulsory, as the case may be.

Support for foundersWith the introduction of the new Master's programme "Technology Entrepreneurship", a network of entrepreneurs and incubators is currently being developed that can be used by all students. Elective courses like Design Thinking and Business Modelling are also introduced.
