The Communications, Information, Media Centre (KIM) is the central facility of the university for IT and library services. The services and advice on literature and information supply as well as all IT questions are offered from a single source for teaching, research and study as well as for the administration. There is a central Help Desk, especially for students. KIM sets itself apart through the high quality of consulting it provides vis-à-vis the departments. The library is open 24/7. more information |
There is a foreign language centre. Languages offered: English, French, German as a foreign language, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Czech. Students may take part in all courses for students not specialising in the subjects, and in exceptional cases also in courses for students specialising in the subjects. more information |
The university offers its own sports programme. In theory, students are allowed to take part in the programme of HTWG Konstanz, but many more take part in university sports at the University of Konstanz. All of the hspBW universities cooperate closely in the field of outdoor sports courses and allow students from their member universities to participate in the programme. Participation is subject to charges. The courses offered by hspkn are wide-ranging in order to be able to offer students and employees a wide range of high-quality, interest based offers. There is a separate water sports area with a swimming area. Given the university’s favourable location, there is a special focus on mountain, snow and water sports, but programme in popular sports is also notable for its broad variety. Climbing tower and boulder block, a fitness center with the latest equipment, exercise rooms for health promotion support the extensive program. Experience-based training and internal training ensure quality. Sports: More than 80 different types of sports are offered, from acrobatics to zumba. Water sports courses in sailing, rowing, kayaking, surfing, diving and alpine sports such as climbing, hiking, skiing and snowboarding as well as ski tours.
