Central services
Opening times central course guidance
Drop-in office hours (without prior appointment): Mon 11:00-12:30 (not in March, August, September), Fri 10. 00-11:30. Consultation appointments (by prior arrangement): Mon 09:30-12:30 and 13:30-17:30, Tue 8:30-12:30 and 13:30-15:30, Wed 13:30-17:30, Thu 8:30-12:30 and 13:30-17:30; online guidance: Wed 10:00-11:30. Appointments are also possible by arrangement.
Special features regarding the library
Library, computer centre and IT administration were merged to form the organisational unit Communication, Information and Media Centre (Organisationseinheit Kommunikations-, Informations-, Medienzentrum – KIM). KIM is thus the central institution of the university for IT and library services. The services and advice on the supply of literature for as well on IT issues are offered from a single source, there is one central HelpDesk. KIM sets itself apart through the high quality of consulting it provides vis-à-vis the departments. The library rooms are open 24 hours a day. more information

There is a foreign language centre. Arabic, Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian, Chinese, Czech, English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian. more information
Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. The programme is open to: HTWG Konstanz, PH Thurgau, Erasmus students and students from other higher education institutions depending on capacity. Students attending the institution can participate in the HTWG Konstanz sports programme. Depending on capacities, courses at other universities in Baden-Württemberg can also be attended. University water sports area with swimming pool on Lake Constance; Water sport courses in sailing, rowing, kayaking, surfing and diving. All kinds of alpine sports (climbing, hiking, skiing, snowboarding and much more) in the nearby Alps; climbing tower and high rope assault course for experience-based training; Fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment and special balancing park; wide range of sports in university sports facilities on campus from A for Aerobics to Z for Zumba; regular orientation and participation in international sports festivals all over the world; Partner University of Leading Athletics; cooperation with top-level associations. more information
