Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees.Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the TU Dortmund, University of Duisburg-Essen (with the status of being a student at another higher education institution.) University-owned 1,100 sqm fitness studio within walking distance of the main train station; in the winter semester 2019/20 there are over 490 courses per week covering 95 sports; large diving area; cooperation with other sports organisations for golf, inline skating, tennis (indoor), SUP; University's own artificial grass pitch.
