Locations: A main library and 3 departmental libraries. In addition, an information centre for technology and patents, the TU Dortmund university archive and a catalogue plus with virtual systems. Stock: The library is home to nearly 1.76 m media items. In addition, around 97,000 E-Books and 42,333 E-Journals licensed by the library are available on campus. Services: The main library is open seven days a week. From Monday to Friday, people can study and research here from 07:00 to 01:00. On Saturdays and Sundays, the main library is open from 09:00 to 01:00. So the university library is open 122 hours a week. It is closed on public holidays. Emil Figge Library, the university library’s largest departmental library, is also open on Saturdays from 09: 00 to 16: 00. more information |

The university offers its own sports programme. Dortmund students may participate in the university sports programme of other selected universities. Participation is subject to fees. About 75 types of sports and fitness studio directly on campus. Most of the sports programme can be used without additional costs after obtaining the sports card (from €15/semester); Several sporting events each year, such as campus runs with more than 1,600 runners or the campus football league. Since 2018, there has been a completely redeveloped outdoor area with artificial grass, beach volleyball and soccer boxes. The new outdoor fitness station, ‘TUrnpunkt’, is in the middle of the campus and is freely accessible. more information |
