The University and State Library of Düsseldorf supports students in all aspects of literature supply. It offers a stock of 2.4 million printed media, 49,000 electronic journals, 181,000 e-books and 880 databases as well as a comprehensive range of services from online chat to electronic semester apparatus and literature management programs to the e-learning platform "ULB-Kompass". With around 2,000 user workstations, internet access via WiFi, and numerous group workstations, it offers very good working conditions every day until midnight, even on weekends. more information |

The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The respective university sports facilities are responsible for participating in sports programs at other universities. Student of the HHU participation in the university sports of external universities is decided upon by the resident university sport representatives. With a few exceptions, the university sports program at HHU is almost free for students. With their enrolment fee you pay €2 to the Hochschulsport e.V. (association). Special features of the sports program are courses such as pole dance, Lindy Hop and Sepak Takraw - all very exotic sports. A cardio fitness / exercise course is offered every day from 6 p.m. for all those who find it hard to exercise, so that students are offered a change of pace from their everyday student life (mostly sitting).
