Locations: The University and State Library of Saxony-Anhalt (ULB) is the largest academic general library in the country; in addition to the main library, it is divided into 12 branch libraries.; Stock: Approx. 5.5 million units in stock, including printed/electronic journals, an extensive textbook collection, prints, manuscripts, collections of papers & maps/graphic collections of the 16th-18th century.; Services: The individual locations offer extensive opening hours, comfortable workstations, publication support, research-related services, training/consulting on dealing with research data and open access. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the Hochschule Merseburg, Jena and Leipzig sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. The programme is open to: Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, Merseburg University of Applied Sciences, University of Jena & Leipzig. Family-friendly university: The fitness area is supervised all year round – also on Sundays & public holidays. Diving training is possible in the sports centre, also including diving excursions. Annual highlights are the Winter Ball in January and the Activity Day & Uni-Challenge in summer. The University Sports Centre provides the stage programme for the ‘Long Night of Sciences’. The MLU has been offering the "Break Express", as an active break for employees, since 2016. Sports: Ball sports and games, group fitness, martial arts, fitness and strength training, dance, health courses, circus and other arts, all things water, sports trips such as sailing, diving excursions and ski camps, various workshops, individual sports more information
