Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Students attending the institution can participate in the Hochschule Merseburg sports programme. The programme is open to: Burg Giebichtenstein University of Art Halle, Merseburg University of Applied Sciences. Family-friendly university: The fitness area is supervised all year round - also on Sundays and public holidays. Diving training is possible in the sports centre, also including diving excursions. The annual highlights include the winter ball in January, the summer sports festival and the Uni-Challenge of the MLU. The University Sports Centre (USZ) provides the stage programme for the Long Night of Sciences.
