Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Students attending the institution can participate in the Hochschule Merseburg sports programme. The programme is open to: Burg Giebichtenstein University of Art Halle, Merseburg University of Applied Sciences. Family-friendly university: the supervised fitness area is open all year round incl. Sundays and holidays. Diving training is possible in the sports centre, also including diving excursions. Annual highlights are the winter ball in January and the sports festival and MLU Beach Cup in summer. The University Sports Centre (USZ) provides the stage programme for the Long Night of Sciences. Since 2016, "Pausenexpress", an active break for the employees, has been offered at the MLU. more information
