Largest technical library in Thuringia specialising in engineering, computer science, science, media science and economic science. The library, which was entirely renovated and extended in 2010, is home to numerous reading spaces, group work rooms, carrels and a modern IT infrastructure with WiFi throughout. Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programmes of the other universities in Thuringia. The programme is open to: Students of the higher education institutions in Thuringia can participate in the university sports programme at the student rate. Students of other higher education institutions can participate in the university sports programme as “external members” if there is free capacity. Excellent sports facilities (grass pitch, tennis courts, beach volleyball court, pump track, archery facilities) directly on the campus; A varied sports programme including excursions during the semester holidays; University campus football league.
