Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. Participation in the sports program of all Thuringian universities and technical colleges is possible for students of BU Weimar. Conversely, students of all Thuringian universities can participate in the sports program of the university sports centre of the BU Weimar on equal terms to the universities own students. The programme is open to: Students/staff of the Liszt School of Music Weimar. University sports centre; In addition to the semester sports programme, a variety of competitions and tournaments are held internally by the university sports programme (Universitätssportzentrum - USZ). Some events are organized in cooperation with the university sports club (HSV) or the German Alpine Club Weimar (Deutschen Alpenverein Weimar) (climbing).
