Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. For students of the BU Weimar, participation in the sports program of all Thuringian universities and technical colleges is possible on the same terms as for their own students. Conversely, we also offer this service to students from other Thuringian universities in our university sports center (agreement was reached via the state conference of the Thuringia university sports facilities). Participation is subject to fees. The program is open to students / staff at the University of Music "Franz Liszt" Weimar. In addition to the semester sports program, university-wide competitions and tournaments (from the USZ) are offered. Several events are conducted in cooperation with the university sports association (HSV). The USZ makes the sports facilities available to municipal schools and sports clubs free of charge or in accordance with a schedule of fees when capacities are available. The USZ is involved in occupational health promotion (BGF), for example integrating moving breaks. more information
