Special features regarding the library
Locations: Since 2020, there is only one location (Steubenstr. 6/8).; Stock: The library has a stock of approx. 515,000 media units (as at: 2020).; Services: The library offers a Discovery system based on Lukida and a campus delivery service. It has its own digitalisation portal on the historical book and journal stock of the Weimar universities for art and architecture dating to 1860. Services also include a university-thesis server with DINI certification (OPUS Weimar). The library offers general and subject-related training courses for Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD students. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. For students, participation in the programme of all Thuringian universities and technical colleges is possible on the same terms as for their own students. Conversely, we also offer this service to students from other Thuringian universities in our University Sports Centre (USZ). Participation is subject to fees. The program is open to students / staff at the University of Music "Franz Liszt" Weimar. In addition to the semester sports program, university-wide competitions and tournaments (from the USZ) are offered. Several events are conducted in cooperation with the university sports association (HSV). The USZ makes the sports facilities available to municipal schools and sports clubs free of charge or in accordance with a fee schedule. The USZ is integrated into occupational health promotion (BGF) through offers, e.g. exercise breaks. more information
