HPI students use the site library on the HPI campus of the Universität Potsdam. media: approx. 1.3 million volumes, 27,000 e-journals, 260 databases, 1.5 million e-books; Technology: self-service terminals, payment terminals, scanning, copying, printing equipment, WiFi, validation terminals; 320 reading spaces (of which 21 PC workstations), 10 carrels, group work room, reading space for visually impaired students; Service: support with academic publishing, Open Access; Training, self-learning and advisory services available. The HPI financially supports purchases of computer science trade journals. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Students attending the institution can participate in the sports programme of the Universität Potsdam. The HPI sports club offers an extensive, free sports programme, for which the institute's own sports facilities are available: basketball, beach volleyball, street soccer, running groups, dancing, yoga, bouldering, table tennis. Other HPI student clubs organise sports activities such as wake boarding, go carting and tournaments or excursions to an indoor ski centre.
