| The university offers its own sports programme. Students can participate in the University of Potsdam sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The HPI sports club offers an extensive, free sports programme which includes the institute's own sports pitches/courts: basketball, beach volleyball, street soccer, running groups, dancing, yoga, bouldering, table tennis. Other HPI student clubs organise sports activities such as wake boarding, go carting and tournaments or excursions to an indoor ski centre.
