Special features regarding the library
The university library is situated on the campus, directly beside the lecture theatres and classrooms. It is open until midnight on weekdays and from 12:00 to 18:00 on Sundays; it has around 1,500 workspaces. In addition to the main library, there are three branch libraries for Humanities, Social Sciences (including Economics and Law) and Natural Sciences, including around 1 million volumes in reading rooms and with textbook collections. The online catalogue provides access to the print and electronic stock (also accessible via smartphone): The university library additionally possesses valuable old stocks and historic special collections. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. All students and employees of Munich's state universities can take part in the Munich university sports. In addition, various non-state universities, institutions and groups have been granted eligibility. Around 90 sports, including badminton, baseball, basketball, bridge, football, golf, handball, hockey, wheelchair basketball, tennis, volleyball, climbing, fitness / health sports (yoga, Pilates, aerobics, aquapower), physical fitness, martial arts ( aikido, boxing, fencing, karate, self-defence, tae kwon do), dance (ballet, capoeira, hip hop, wheelchair dance, salsa, standard / latin, Zumba), recreational sports (acrobatics, juggling / unicycle, parkour), gymnastics & athletics, water sports (canoeing, rowing, sailing, swimming, diving, underwater hockey), alpine skiing, free ride, snowboarding, ice hockey, horse riding. The programme is open to: Students of all higher education institutions in Munich. 90 Sports from A like aerobics to Y like yoga. In addition to the superb, extensive and extremely varied sports programme, performance-oriented students can participate in the central university sport competition programme, from the German University Championships to the student European and World championships, including the World Student Games, the world's second largest sports event after the Olympic Games. more information
