Central services
During the opening hours of the student service centre: appointments can be made at course guidance and informational materials distributed Mon-Fri 08:30-12:00 as well as Mon 13:30-15:00. Drop-in office hours, each session lasting two hours, are available on one day of the week with an academic advisor. This service is intended for rapid clarification of brief enquiries (max. 20-minute conversations). Appointments are also possible by arrangement. |
Bamberg university library is divided into six sites and is therefore convenient for everyone. It supplies literature and information for study, research and teaching and, in addition to textbooks and print media, offers a large number of electronic journals, e-books and online databases. The library considers it an important task to support the students with literature and information, in order to teach information skills and promote electronic publishing (e.g. through the open-access university press). more information |
There is a foreign language centre. The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. All Bavarian universities may participate. Students attending the institution can participate in all paid and free courses of the sports programme. The university sports programme strives to cater as far as possible to the interests of all students. As a result, we offer an extremely wide range of individual, team and lifestyle sports in more than 119 different events which students take full advantage of. Students are able to participate in a particularly wide range of inexpensive health and fitness-oriented sports courses run by qualified instructors. more information |
