Special features regarding university sports
The university does not have its own sports programme. However, since there is no other university in our area, there are no sports programs from other universities. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. We offer our students a self-composed university sports program. In cooperation with several different clubs in Sigmaringen, we therefore have a wide range of sports on offer. We offer our students a self-composed university sports programme. For insurance reasons, only students from the University Albstadt-Sigmaringen are allowed to participate in sports activities. As the General Students’ Union only coordinates sports offers and does not run them on its own, it cannot accept liability for accidents. Sports: The programme includes the following sports, among others: Football, badminton, volleyball, basketball, dance, karate, table tennis, ski trip during the winter semester, climbing (in cooperation with the German Alpine Association), zumba, yoga.
