Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The programme is open to: Students of all higher education institutions in Munich. Students attending the institution can participate in all available sports programmes. 90 different types of sports from A for aerobics to Y for yoga – in the Alps, the Bavarian Lakes and in the 1972 Olympic sports facilities. Very popular: fitness, climbing or beach volleyball. In addition to the superb, extensive and extremely varied sports programme, performance-oriented students can participate in the central university sport competition programme, from the German University Championships to the student European and World championships, including the World Student Games, the world's second largest sports event after the Olympic Games. more information
