Central services
Opening times central course guidance
Mon-Thu 07:30-17:00, Fri 07:30-15:00. Appointments for course guidance are also possible at any time outside of these hours by arrangement. Appointments are also possible by arrangement.
Special features regarding the library
The library deploys its resources in an efficient and user-oriented manner. RFID technology has been introduced for the supply of literature (print and electronic media), which contributes to modernisation and enhances loan services. The library is open to students around the clock (24-hour library), with access via magnetic card. The German Library Association conducted its first national evaluation in 2010. The university library was also awarded an outstanding rating among specialist university libraries in 2014. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The programme is open to: Students of the OTH Regensburg in the "Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule" association between the OTH Amberg-Weiden and the OTH Regensburg. Students attending the institution can participate in the OTH Regensburg sports programme. Sports training times in the university sports hall in Amberg and the city sports halls in Weiden are regularly fully booked. About 500 students take advantage of the diverse range of activities offered by the Sports Department. This includes exercise classes such as yoga, dance, jazz dance and other individual sports. Fellow students can often be recruited as instructors. The university supports these courses by making the premises and equipment available, and covering part of the course fees for students who successfully complete the course.
