Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. The university sports programme is open exclusively to the students and staff of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. Popular Sports: 15 courses including self-defence for women, skiing weekends, excursions and sports camps/trips. Competitive Sports: Participation in national and international title competitions, e.g. football, volleyball/mixed: Bavarian and German university champion or cup winner on several occasions. International Austria. Beach volleyball champion. Basketball: Bavarian University Cup, third place Individual title: German Athletics Championships: third place; German University Championships: first and second place. Nordic skiing: third place.
