Central services
Opening times central course guidance
Open office hours Wednesday 9:00 - 12:00. Telephone consultation Monday to Friday from 8:30-12:00 and Monday to Thursday from 13:00-15:00. Appointments are also possible by arrangement.
Special features regarding the library
The university library at Passau has 5 reading rooms with long opening hours (also at the weekend) and over 1,000 workspaces. The reading room terrace of the Economics sub-library features 30 full open-air workspaces. Free scanning possible in all reading rooms. There is an inviting library lounge for group work and relaxation. Special features are the individual specialist advice and a comprehensive range of training courses including e-tutorials. Around 100,000 e-journals and e-books are available within the library network and accessible externally. more information
Foreign language courses
There is a foreign language centre. Chinese, Czech, English, French, German as a Foreign Language, Indonesian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese. General language training, without subject-specific differentiation, lasts four semesters. This is followed by the subject-specific differentiation (FFA). Here, students can expand on their linguistic skills and simultaneously specialise in the key areas of Law, Culture, Teaching Qualification and Economics. more information
Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. Climbing, newly expanded cardio and fitness studio, rowing, canoeing, back fitness, Fitness Mix, SoccArena (football), yoga, Capoeira, various dance classes and many other sports activities. more information
