Special features regarding the library
The stock of the HWR libraries is geared towards the current courses on offer and contains more than 160,000 print media, many subject-specific databases and current print and online journals and magazines. Members of the HWR on both university campuses are supplied with media relating to the courses on offer. A wide range of training on the use of the various resources is available to help users get the most out of round-the-clock remote access and on-site use 6 days a week. A variety of group and individual workspaces are available for users. more information

There is a foreign language centre. Business French, Business Spanish, Business Russian, Chinese for Beginners, Business German. more information
Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Some courses are free of charge, some subject to fees. All members of the cooperating higher education institutions in Berlin are entitled to take part in the university sports programme of the institutions offering it (TU, FU, HU, Beuth, HTW). Staff members of the Berlin higher education institutions as per administrative agreement, HWR alumni and students of other Berlin higher education institutions and external users. HWR Berlin offers the following sports: Basket ball, football, volleyball and German Sports Badge. Sports programme offered by AStA, the General Students’ Committee, of the HWR Berlin: yoga. Free courses offered by the Aikidoschule Berlin Aikido, stress reduction through mindfulness (meditation). more information
