Special features regarding the library
The teaching-oriented collection of the HWR libraries comprises more than 195,000 print and online media as well as specialist databases, e-books, print and online journals. Users are provided with media at the HRW sites; ordering media from the branch libraries is currently being tested. A wide range of training and introductions on the use of the various resources is available to help users get the most out of round-the-clock remote access and on-site use 6 working days a week. A variety of individual and group workplaces is available for this purpose; Special opening hours during exam preparation time. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. The HWR Berlin offers its students a range of sports in the areas of football, basketball and volleyball and since summer semester 2017, the awarding of sports badges. In addition, the ASTA offers the HWR Berlin a sports program and provides them with the comprehensive program of all state-owned universities in Berlin. High level athletes of the HWR Berlin can participate in the German University Championships. All members of the cooperating higher education institutions in Berlin are entitled to take part in the university sports programme of the institutions offering it (TU, FU, HU, Beuth, HTW). Staff members of the Berlin higher education institutions as per administrative agreement, HWR alumni and students of other Berlin higher education institutions and external users. HWR Berlin offers the following sports: Basket ball, football, volleyball and German Sports Badge. Sports programme offered by AStA, the General Students’ Committee, of the HWR Berlin: yoga. Free courses offered by the Aikidoschule Berlin Aikido, stress reduction through mindfulness (meditation). more information
