Special features regarding the library
The university library of the University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde HNEE is a central facility; it is used to provide the university with scientific literature and information in conventional and electronic form for study, teaching, research and further education. Almost half of the approximately 180,000 volumes of the print inventory are in the freehand area; e-journals and e-books complete the print offer. Book scanners and copiers as well as carrels for individual and group work are available for use. Training courses on information and media literacy are offered. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university offers its own sports programme. Participation is subject to fees. The sports programs of the universities in Berlin and Brandenburg are available to all HNEE students if they get a place there. It also depends on the host university. A club organises the sports programme: Badminton, football (indoor), basketball, table tennis, aikido, bouldering, archery, volleyball, active break (relaxation gymnastics with a professional physiotherapist), canoeing and kayaking, forest running / jogging, free dancing, windsurfing, acrobatics, rugby, meditation, Pilates, tango dance; Ultimate Frisbee and so on. more information
