Special features regarding the library
The SuUB Bremen is in charge of the supply of literature and information for both the university and colleges. The self-developed search engine E-LIB provides access to over 70 million printed and digital resources. Through methodologically didactically coordinated events to promote information and media literacy, the library provides students with security in dealing with sources of all kinds. There is high demand for these learning locations. The changing demands on equipment are taken into account by modernizing the existing, and creating new learning spaces. more information

Special features regarding university sports
The university does not have its own sports programme. Students attending the institution can participate in the University of Bremen sports programme. Special cutter rowing: in 1986, the Nautical Science degree course organised the first international cutter rowing race on the Weser river. The Hochschule Bremen has several student teams and a staff team. Cutter rowing is a sport in which a cutter (a lifeboat from a large ship) is powered (rowed) a specified distance by a team of about 10 people plus a cox. more information
